# dwa140shortcut
A shortcut menu bar application for macOS computers using the DWA-140 Utility.

## About
This project was written in Swift. This application was specifically designed for my (USB WiFi) Hackintosh build. This menu bar option shows the current connection status (through the icon) and has a few System Preferences shortcuts to expedite getting your machine connected to the internet.

## Requirements

 - macOS 10.12+ with administrator privileges

macOS <= 10.9 is unsupported.

## Installation

**Make sure you have the following installed prior to installing this application:**
 - *RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext* in /System/Library/Extensions/
 - *DWA-140WirelessUtility.prefPane* in either /Library/PreferencePanes/ or ~/Library/PreferencePanes/

Download the latest DMG from the [Releases](https://github.com/fivepixels/dwa140shortcut/releases) page. 

Open the DMG, and drag the application into the Applications folder.
